Ad film with your portrait

Ad Film With Your Portrait — You Appear in the Scenes

Your brand's ad film is produced from scratch, just as you would expect: the script is written, the scenes are turned into visuals, and the film is edited with voice-over and music. The difference is that in the scenes you choose, the person on screen is you, placed as a character inside the setting you describe. Your portrait is created from a single photo or designed from a written description, so there is no shoot day, crew or studio to organise. The film's voice-over carries the narration continuously through these scenes.

The business owner inside the film

Scenes are produced from the script, and in the ones you select you appear inside your own business. Viewers see not only the product but also the person who runs the company.

Voice-over on screen, ready for any language

The cinematic scene engine focuses on visuals, and the narration runs over the scenes as voice-over. In practice this means that when the same film is voiced in another language, your face stays exactly as it is and no scene needs to be reshot.

Number of scenes follows the duration band

You can appear in up to 1 scene in the short band (10–20 sec), 3 in the standard band (20–40 sec) and 5 in the long band (40–75 sec). The opening wide shot and product scenes are kept portrait-free; the selected scenes are spaced evenly through the film and the final scene is always included.

Two resolution options

You can have these scenes produced in Standard (720p) or High (1080p). The choice applies only to the scenes where you appear; the rest of the film is edited at the same resolution either way. The per-scene fee varies with resolution, and both options are shown side by side on the selection screen.

Nothing is produced before you approve

You see the scene plan, the narration text and the scenes in which you appear before anything is produced, and payment is taken after this step. If a scene is not right, it can be regenerated on its own and the film is re-edited.

One portrait, with your product photos as reference

Your portrait stays in your account, and the same face is used in later films and in other portrait-based products. The product and location photos you upload are given to the scenes as references, so the product on screen is your own.

How it works

  1. 1

    Prepare your portrait

Upload a single front-facing, well-lit portrait photo; it is ready instantly. If you prefer not to use a photo, describe gender, age, outfit and setting to design a presenter.

  2. 2

Describe the film and choose a duration band

Write in one sentence what you want to communicate, then pick the short, standard or long band. If you upload product and location photos, the scenes stay faithful to them.

  3. 3

Choose the number of scenes and the resolution

Select how many scenes you appear in, up to the number your band allows, which portrait is used, and whether the scenes are produced in Standard or High resolution. The cost of each option is shown on its card.

  4. 4

Approve the scene plan and download the film

After you approve, the scenes are produced and the film is edited with voice-over, music and a closing card, then delivered as a 1080p MP4.

How you start

Create an account, introduce your brand once and write what you need. Before production starts you see exactly what you will receive and what it costs.

Every cost is itemised in your cart before production starts: one line for the film's duration band and a separate line for the founder scenes, charged per scene. The per-scene fee depends on the number of scenes you select and the resolution you choose.

Frequently asked questions

Do I speak on screen?+

If you want to. By default you appear on screen while the film's voice-over carries the narration, which has a practical advantage: when the same film is voiced in another language, your face stays the same. If you tell the assistant "let the people on screen speak", the person in frame delivers the narration to camera, lip-synced; the voice is the narration voice, not your own recording. If you want to speak in your own voice, the Presenter Video product is designed for that: you write the script and your portrait looks into the camera and delivers it.

In how many scenes can I appear?+

The maximum depends on the duration band you choose: 1 scene in the short band (10–20 sec), 3 in the standard band (20–40 sec) and 5 in the long band (40–75 sec). This follows the number of scenes each band produces. The opening wide shot is kept portrait-free because the film opens on the setting rather than on a face. Selected scenes are spaced evenly through the film and the final scene is always included. Moving the film to a longer band opens up more scenes for you.

What is the difference between Standard and High resolution?+

Standard means 720p and High means 1080p production, and the choice applies only to the scenes where you appear; the rest of the film is edited at the same resolution either way. Standard suits social media and the web, while High is a good fit if you plan to show the film on a large screen or television. Because the production provider charges per scene, High carries a higher per-scene fee, and you can compare both options side by side on the selection screen. If you make no selection, Standard is applied.

Do I have to use my own photo?+

Using your own photo is optional. You can describe gender, age range, outfit and setting to design a presenter who does not belong to a real person, and that presenter appears in the film. If you do use your own photo, a front-facing, well-lit, sharp image is enough: avoid glasses glare and hats, and keep the background plain. The quality of the result depends largely on this image. A photo of another person can be uploaded only with that person's explicit permission, and your confirmation of permission is recorded.

Can I see which scenes I appear in beforehand?+

Yes. On the scene plan approval screen, the scenes where you appear are marked, and you can edit the scene text and order there. Payment is taken after this approval, so you see which scenes you are purchasing before you pay.

How is the price calculated?+

It has two components: the ad film fee for the duration band you select and a per-scene fee for founder scenes. The scene fee is multiplied by the number of selected scenes and varies with resolution. Both appear as separate lines in your cart, and the scene fee is based on the number of scenes actually marked in the approved scene plan. If you choose not to appear in any scene, no scene fee applies and the film is produced at the band fee alone.

Do my product photos appear in the scenes?+

Yes. You can upload up to 9 product or location photos, and they are given to the scenes as references. Product scenes are kept separate from founder scenes: in scenes where the product stands alone in the frame, the portrait is not used.

There used to be a “Founder film.” What happened to it?+

The Founder film was a speaking portrait and ran on the same production pipeline as the Presenter Video. The product has since evolved so that you appear inside the film itself: you now get an ad film with scenes produced from scratch, and you appear in the scenes you select. Existing links continue to lead to this page. If you only want to speak with your own face, choose the Presenter Video or Personal Introduction products.
