Social clips from your video: a week of posts from one video
A video that is produced and posted only once leaves value unused. Social clips turn the same video into several weeks of vertical content, and a score shows which clip to post first.
The problem
You produced a promo video or an ad film, added it to your website and posted it once. Social media keeps asking for something new every week. Reposting the same video rarely holds attention, and commissioning a new video every week requires a budget of its own.
Social clips fill the gap. The moments of your video that make sense on their own are selected, cropped to vertical and given burned-in captions. One video becomes several weeks of posts.
Which videos qualify?
Any video of at least 20 seconds produced in Sunum.App: promo videos, ad films, story films, explainer videos, presenter videos and founder videos. Videos with spoken narration give the strongest results, because the best lines of the narration form the backbone of each clip.
- •Text videos are already 10-20 seconds long and work as short-form content on their own.
- •If you request clips from your English version, the captions are in English.
- •The source video stays unchanged; clips are separate files.
How to request clips
Open the page of your completed project and select "Generate social clips" next to the video. The amount is shown in your cart. It is a single fee per job, and the number of clips produced does not change it. Within a few minutes, 30-second and 60-second clips are added to your project.
What the virality score tells you
Each clip carries an estimated engagement score based on the strength of the opening line, the movement in the footage and how well the clip stands on its own. The score is a ranking tool that helps you decide the order: post the highest-scoring clip in the first week, then adjust based on how your audience responds.
Posting order
Start with the highest-scoring 30-second clip, since shorter clips tend to be watched more on Reels and Shorts. Follow with the 60-second clips, which suit LinkedIn and YouTube. Post the full film or video last, so the clips have already built interest.
From the Share window you can send clips directly to your social accounts. Each clip also receives a public share link.
